Originally designed and built by master boat builder Bob O'Brien in the seventies and eighties, O'Brien Ski Boats are more affordable and cheaper to run than most other ski boats on the market today. The innovative hull design coupled with the boats centre of balance allows O'Brien Ski Boats to glide across the water with less resistance allowing the use of smaller capacity engines, thus reducing running costs.
Still hand crafted, from only the best quality materials available, by experienced staff and now overseen by Kevin Robertson who himself has thirty years in the boat building industy, O'Brien Ski Boats are still creating an affordable high quality ski boat for all the family to enjoy.
O'Brien Ski Boats are ideal wether beginners, wakeboaders, experienced skiers, barefooters or for just some fun in the sun.
The O'Brien wake is classed as near perfect by some skiers for jumping, wake tricks ( helicopters, front to back, tick tocs etc ), while still remaining smooth enough for barefooting, tumble turns and bodyslides.
The O'Brien Ski Boats "New Wave" carries on the tradition by introducing various packages allowing even greater affordability. We now offer our O'Brien "New Wave" Ski Boats in stages, 1, 2 and 3.
1: Completed hull and deck with aluminium and rubber gunnels fitted, S/S bow and tie down hooks fitted, centre fin fitted, skeg fitted, log, fuel tanks filler and filler caps fitted, fuel outlets fitted, seat frames, engine cover, swim platform and ski locker.
Stage 2: Is as stage one completely upholstered with all steering, Rudder, adjustable cavitation plate and hardware fitted, water pickups, exhaust outlets, ski pole and swim platform fitted.
Stage 3: Completed boat fitted with tacheometre, speedo, oil pressure, temperature, battery and hourmetre gauges, foot throttle, bilge blower, NEW 290hp 350 Chev Motor with soft clutch on single axle Newbreeze galvanised trailer.
